Vivo T5x price hiked by Rs 2,000 just weeks after India launch
Vivo T5x launched at a starting price of Rs 18,999.
The new price is effective from April 1st.
The smartphone comes in three memory configurations.

The recently launched Vivo T5x is already seeing a price hike in India, just weeks after its debut. The smartphone launched in India on March 17th as a new budget smartphone from the brand, succeeding last year’s Vivo T4x. According to tipster Sanju Choudhary, Vivo has issued a retail circular confirming a price increase of Rs 2,000 across all variants, effective April 1, 2026.

Online listings are still reflecting the original launch prices at the time of writing, but this could change starting tomorrow once the revised pricing comes into effect across channels. A price correction this soon after launch is unusual, but not entirely surprising given the current industry climate.

What’s driving the price increase?

The smartphone market in 2026 is seeing rising component costs across the board, especially in areas like chipsets and memory. Brands have been responding in different ways, with some quietly revising prices post-launch, while others are offering bank offers or launch discounts to offset the price increase. Vivo’s move to directly increase the price suggests that the original pricing may have been introductory or margin-sensitive, especially considering the hardware on offer.
